THE GOODMANWORKS TRADING ROOM IS CLOSED TO NEW MEMBERS AT THIS TIME
Question and Answer
How is it delivered?
The GoodmanWorks Trading Room is hosted on an easy-to-use webinar platform. The User application is included in the Trading Room pricing. In the event platform is down (very rare!) or we are doing upgrades on the servers we use Group Skype as a back-up.
When is the GoodmanWorks Trading Room Open?
Standard Hours of Operation will be 9am to 11pm Eastern. You may come-and-go as you like. We hope to go 24 x 7 by spring 2011.
How Do We Communicate?
Functionality includes Chat, Screen-Showing, Whiteboarding, File-Sharing and for Goodman Lessons, VoIP audio.
What Happens in the GoodmanWorks Trading Room?
I will identify specific Goodman trade setups on FX, futures and a select group of equity charts and discuss the why-and-wherefore of them. 15-minute, 60-hour and 240-hour charts are featured in the Trading Room. A CODEX is sent to members with a computer-side catalog of the basic Goodman setups and illustrated terminology so communication is faster, more efficient.
I will review members’ charts for Goodman setups and features.
I will answer members’ questions.
I will offer Lessons on pertinent aspects of Goodman.
We will exchange ideas on trading.
What Markets are Monitored in the GoodmanWorks Trading Room?
Most members trade either FX (currencies) or commodity futures but a few trade equities (stocks). I track a fixed list of each instrument but leave space to rotate others as setups and opportunities arise. You may submit specific requests for an analysis of any market at any time.
How do the Lessons conducted?
There are three types of Lessons. The first are ‘mini-lessons’ incorporated during the session at the same time we are following the markets for which a chart or graphic is sent to everyone to follow-along. The second are ‘Goodman lessons’ for which a separate room is used so you may attend or not attend as you so choose. The Goodman lessons are delivered with VoIP audio. Finally, a member may ask a question or reference a chart with features interesting to other members. In such a case an impromptu Mini-Lesson is built around it.
Is it Difficult to Keep Track of Activities in the Trading Room?
Remember my primary objective is to identify Goodman setups to assist you in learning and trading Goodman, discuss them and follow up on them as they progress. Members receive a Daily Form to help them keep track of the setups they find interesting. The CODEX also is meant to assist members get up-to-speed on both Goodman and the Trading Room quickly. For example if I note a ‘2-1-2 Template on the 4-Hour Gold chart’ you can reference the 2-1-2 Template in the CODEX. After a few sessions in the Trading Room you should be very comfortable!
Can Members Contribute?
Absolutely! You are encouraged to do so, in fact. One of the great advantages of ‘group think’ is that you may see a setup no one else is looking at; or, perhaps have an idea worth pursuing. Multiple sub-Chats may occur from time-to-time. I want to keep things light and interesting – but still stay on-subject (trading Goodman!).
Is the Moderator Always in the Room?
No, not always. In a typical session I will take three 15-minute breaks, a one-hour break after the major futures markets close and a 90-minute break during the transition to the Asian FX session. Before I leave I will offer an update and ask for questions or charts. I trade for a living and am present 75%-90% of the time. Occasionally I am called away for an hour or two. I take a Friday off once-a-month and an extra day to most holiday weekend. One of my advanced Goodman mentoring students may take the helm as Moderator from time-to-time when I vacation. We anticipate a 24 x 7 Trading Room by spring 2011. If there is enough synergy it may open full time before then with some hours sans moderator.
Does the Room Close When You Leave?
Generally not during standard hours. Members are free to carry on amongst themselves. Again, with group-think synergy between Members with similar interests develops quickly.
Is Chat Always Public?
You can chat privately with me and me with you if necessary. While an open forum is encouraged, privacy is sometimes a necessity. We are working on providing more Chat options to members.
What is the Trading Room Etiquette?
The Basics: No profanity, no racial or sexist slurs, no proselytizing. Keep your chats informal but civil. Content is more important than form. Members have real money on the line so don’t go off subject and clutter the Chat. This is a Trading Room not a political, social, game, anything-of-interest or joke forum. But a little levity is usually welcome here-and-there!
You are always welcome to contribute or ask questions on the topic at hand. Again, multiple sub-chats may occur in the Trading Room but they should always relate to trading.
How Many Members are in the Goodman Trading Room?
This is a fairly new Trading Room so the number right now is quite small. I want to be able to address everyone’s questions, look at all the charts sent to me in a timely manner and find as many Goodman setups as possible to study. I define timely as a response in five minutes or less 90 percent of the time. A maximum aboard of 25 is the current limit.
Is this a signal Service?
No, it is a Trading Room the primary purpose of which is to learn Goodman trading methods by identifying and discussing specific real-time setups, reviewing charts, answering questions, providing lessons and exchanging ideas between members.
Is My Membership Active Immediately?
It takes my assistant, Dawn, a day at most to set up your account. I do encourage you to review the Trading Room CODEX before you come into the Room for the first time or at least in the first two or three sessions and also take the free Goodman Basics one-on-one webinar. If you are unfamiliar with online meetings I can give you a preview of the Trading Room after you join and before you first enter a live session.
Do you offer Membership Perks for Joining the GoodmanWorks Trading Room?
Yes: All Members receive the CODEX, Goodman Propagation Templates PPT the Propagation Trade Setup PPT and the free one-on-one Goodman Basics webinar.
Are There Other GoodmanWorks Services Besides the Trading Room?
I offer the Trading Goodman eBook and the full year of the GoodmanWorks Blog (2000 pages) for $299.00 for those who want a library of everything written about Goodman Wave Theory.
Why a Trading Room?
I believe the GoodmanWorks Trading Room addresses the needs of the widest variety of traders wishing to learn and trade Goodman. Other Goodman services such as the Goodman Theory Letter and Mentoring Program are being wound down and folded into the Trading Room.
